plnog, plnog and… gone. it looks like we have actually grown into the most serious and largest independent conference dedicated to people working on service provider networks in Poland - though I’m not going to fight anyone on the number of participants, this additional 100 people on each subsequent edition of PLNOG (we counted 395 participants this time!) speaks for itself. to the point that I’ve met many people for the first time in my life :)
we try to select presentations before main show, although sometimes the quality is not as good as we would like it to be. creeping marketing annoys and causes gnashing of teeth, but we hope that this time was even better than before. it’s call to you, to stop us, vendors, and focus on real case discussions.
i shouldn’t comment on the quality of my fellow Cisco presenters as well as my presentation, but it’s worth to note that we’ve had real operators and integrators taking stage and sharing their experience. Piotr Strzyżewski was talking about open source vs commercial gear, Przemysław Frasunek covered CDNs and Piotr Wojciechowski NAT-PT. given you ask us for more ‘case studies’ i believe we’ve made it happen during this edition.
next PLNOG edition is coming in september! see you there!
